March 2011: 'How to Butcher a Pig'

Come on see a demonstration by local organic butcher Jason (of Silcocks Farm, St Michaels) on how to butcher a pig. He will explain the cuts of meat and show you how to prepare joints, hams, chops etc. We will break for a pork based lunch and resume for the afternoon before tea at 3pm.

Why not camp he night before and have breakfast on the farm before the demonstration? The tipis might be available for these date or you could bring your own tent.

The demonstration, lunch and afternoon tea costs £95. Camping is extra. Contact us for details but book early this event will fill fast!

Spring 2011: 'Wild Meat'

Jason (of Silcocks Farm, St Michaels) will demostrate how to pluck, bone and roll a duck and how to skin and bone a rabbit. He will also show you how to butcher a squirell and suggest ways of cooking this under rated meat.

The demonstration, including one of Carolines superb farm prepared lunches and afternoon tea, costs £95. Camping, if required, is extra. Contact us for details but book early as this event will fill fast!
